I had that realization in 2016.

It came through breakdown.

Years of wrong paths — choices driven by fear, expectations, unresolved wounds — accumulated inside me until my system could not carry it anymore. My collapse was not random. It was cumulative.

And in that fragile state, I felt confronted with a profound question:

If you continue this way, you will spiritually die.
Are you willing to let the false self die instead?

The courage to die before you die is the essence of awakening.

I had to surrender my victim story.
I had to release the identity built around suffering.
I had to stop outsourcing my worth.

It was terrifying.

Because the ego fights for survival.

But every time I chose truth over comfort, something lighter emerged.

Healing required discipline — therapy, self-inquiry, body-based practices, shadow work, spiritual grounding. I had to rebuild my relationship with fear. Instead of running from it, I began walking toward it.

And every fear I faced dissolved a little more of the illusion.

Awakening is not about becoming superior. It is about becoming sincere.

It is about radical self-responsibility.
It is about emotional maturity.
It is about alignment between your inner world and outer life.

My rebirth was not dramatic. It was steady.

One boundary at a time.
One honest conversation at a time.
One moment of choosing myself at a time.
